Legal 500 Launch
10 November 2005
400 Senior Lawyers, Barristers and Marketing Professionals met together at the annual launch of the 2005 Legal 500 publication, to hear how their firms were positioned in the renowned legal publication.
The Legal 500 editor, John Pritchard welcomed guests and gave a short speech setting out the how the UK Legal Market has changed over the year.
Harris Cartier LLP is listed under both the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence categories and were therefore invited to the launch.
We are particularly pleased that we have been recognised as Experts in catastrophic injuries, which is very much a growth area in the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence department.
We have gained our reputation on catastrophic injury cases through dealing with a number of high profile Court actions, to include "Martin Bieseuvel –v- Andrew Birrell" when the claimant was awarded the record sum of £9.3 million, the highest award in the Courts of England and Wales for a personal injury Claimant. Many further catastrophic cases have followed, thus building our reputation, particularly in cerebral palsy cases and other types of accidents.
We are pleased that Chris Gooderidge, our Senior Litigation Principal, who attended the Legal 500 launch, was appointed one of the first Fellows of the Association of Personal Injury Law.
