Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Partner

Greg Bee is a Partner in the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Department.

Greg completed his training with the firm in August 1997 and since qualification has specialised exclusively in personal injury work. He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) at Senior Litigator level.

After qualification he assisted with a number of catastrophic brain and spinal cord injury cases which the firm dealt with, including most notably Biesheuvel v Birrell [1999 PIQR Q68]. This case resulted in the then record award of £9.3 million for a Claimant in a spinal cord injury case, after a trial in the High Court lasting several weeks where virtually every area of loss was being contested.

Greg has since dealt with his own complex and high value cases in the High Court and County Court involving disputed liability, varying degrees of brain injury and spinal cord injury, and also fatal accidents where there are claims on behalf of the surviving spouse and children. These claims are of course particularly sensitive. He has also dealt with numerous cases involving less severe injury, taking these to Court where necessary.

He has recovered six figure sums for Claimants in various cases in 2008 and 2009, in claims involving subtle head injury with associated psychological problems , incomplete spinal cord injury and a fatal accident at work.

He also has a supervisory role in the Department in accordance with the firm's practice management standards.

Originally from Manchester, Greg lives in Windsor and is a keen follower of sports, particularly cricket and football and also enjoys foreign travel, literature and the theatre.
